The Hainan international Brand EXPO 2019 Held in Sanya

On March 22nd, the Hainan International Brand EXPO 2019 was successfully held at the Mangrove International Conference Centre in Sanya Bay. The event was jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Commerce Department, the Municipal People’s Government of Sanya City, the Foreign Trade Development Bureau (Ministry of Commerce, P.R.C.), and the Hainan Sub-council of the China for the Promotion of International Trade. The theme of the event was "Sharing a New Starting Point for Free Trade". The exhibition attracted more than 500 brands from 18 countries and regions, presenting a brand feast with clear themes and rich contents for global buyers.

The exhibition attracted thousands of professional buyers to negotiate and tens of thousands of tourists and locals. It is reported that the exhibition is the first important economic and trade event in Hainan for this year, and also an important measure for the construction of Hainan International Tourism Consumption Center according to the idea of “Three Effects” (efficiency, benefits and effectiveness) and “Four Modernizations” (improve the levels of specialization, marketization, internationalization and informatization). The exhibition focused on constructing Hainan as an international tourism consumption center, as well as brand display focus, brand planning, brand culture and brand service. Organizers also hope that the exhibition will bring back the 220 billion Yuan spent annually by Chinese overseas customers.


Quite a few of the world's top 500 and China's top 500 enterprises participated in the exhibition. Participating exhibitor groups came from countries and regions including Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong (China) and Taiwan (China). The exhibition actively explored new ideas of transformation and upgrading of the Hainan convention and exhibition industry under the new circumstances.

The exhibition set up many areas: national, urban, enterprise and other exhibition areas. Exhibitors included industry leading enterprises, enterprises directly under the central government, provincial key enterprises and well-known private enterprises such as Amazon, Jingdong, Suning, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Huawei, Apple, China Duty Free, COFCO, Southern Airlines, Porsche, BYD, Guangming, Mengniu, Dali and Cuihua Jewelry, Shanghai Shenya, the Hainan Rendez-Vous, Fuhua international, Hainan State Farms, and Alisports , as well as the 24 "long-standing" enterprises in Hainan for the first time.


More than 1000 kinds of exhibits were displayed at the exhibition. Covering special tourism resources and tourism products, health care, food and beverage, apparel, jewelry, consumer electronics, hotel goods, brand planning, and service agencies.


Fuhua International exhibited the dragon design screen with rosewood inlaid boxwood which was part of the Forbidden City collection. Cuihua Jewelry brought many award-winning gold artworks like “Junlin Tianxia”, “Sanyang Kaitai”, “Longfeng Fugui Golden Bowl” and a set of gold underwear weighing 1412g. The Afghan pavilion brought exhibitions with ethnic characteristics including tapestries, scarves and jeweler; local specialty food from Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka and Iran were very popular. The new high-tech products brought by Amazon, Lenovo and Huawei have once again refreshed the audience's awareness of consumer electronics.

During the exhibition, thousands of buyers came to the site to negotiate. Yonghui Supermarket, Baifang Shopping Mall, Future Egou E-business, Anxin Import & Export trade, CITS, Guangdong E-commerce Association, Guangdong food Circulation Association and other companies have reached cooperation intention with the on-site exhibitors.


The exhibition also builds a brand promotion platform through activities such as an international duty-free commodity purchasing conference, annual release show of world featured brands, annual joint promotion of world brands, starlight night of world brands, Porsche & BYD brand show, special session of world brand resources and annual Hainan brand investment promotion conferences. On this day, the Swiss Dufry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Shenya group.

The Hainan International Brand Expo 2019 will last until the 24th. Visitors will be given the opportunity to receive Sanya Duty-Free Shop gift vouchers during the event. During the exhibition, the gift vouchers can be used for consumption deduction at the Sanya International Duty Free Shop.
