On January 13th Sanya Government and Tencent Holdings Limited, one of the largest Chinese integrated service providers, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This is the first strategic contract that has been signed by the Sanya Government this year. According to the contract, both sides will expand cooperation from construction of “Super Urban Brain” and development of digital Sanya to in-depth cooperation that involves the establishment of a Sanya based regional Tencent headquarters.
As an intentionally recognized internet enterprise, Tencent Holdings Limited shares technical strengths in social networking, digital content producing, large data and AI. That is crucial to the construction of “Super Urban Brain”. The “Super Urban Brain” of Sanya will combine six core abilities: dimensional perception, integration, analysis and decision-making, efficient cooperation, opening, and prediction. Its main focus is to optimize public services.
Last February, the Sanya Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Tencent Group. Yesterday Mr.Tong Daochi, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Sanya Party Secretary, met with the delegation lead by Mr. Ma Huateng , Chairman and CEO of Tencent Holdings Limited. They exchanged ideas concerning industrial development, intelligent city construction, digital entertainment industry, urban brand promotion and beautiful village construction. Both sides are looking forward to further cooperation.
